Real-Time Spill Detection and Alerts

Slick Sleuth™ Oil Detection Systems provide the best available technology for real-time spill monitoring. Reliable oil spill detection can make the difference between a small accident and a major disaster. By detecting oil spills in real-time, you can reduce cleanup and remediation cost, and limit damage to the environment. The Slick Sleuth™ System is easy to install and requires virtually no maintenance since it’s mounted above the water.

  • Certified to meet US EPA Compliance Standards
  • Cost effective & low maintenance
  • Automated non-contact oil spill sensor
  • Highly sensitive optical sheen detection

Industrial Applications with Solar Power Options

The Slick Sleuth™ System can be integrated into a facility’s existing process control system to protect against either discharge or intake of oil pollution. In the event of a spill, Slick Sleuth’s™ sensors will automatically notify the control center and shut down pumps at the industrial site. Systems can be configured to work in many different environments including saltwater and hazardous, explosive gas environments. Stand alone systems can even be powered by solar panels and rechargeable batteries.

Marine Applications with Wireless Telemetry

Slick Sleuth™ is specially designed for use in rugged settings such as offshore, coasts, harbors and inland waterways. To monitor large areas such as ports and harbors, Slick Sleuth™ can be setup as a networked array of strategically placed monitoring stations. Sensor arrays are comprised of a stand-alone Remote Detection Stations (RDS) that report to and are controlled by a base station. Base station software has 2-way communications with each remote detection station providing control of sensors, real-time data and spill notification.
